Our story
From Colorado outward
RMES was founded in Colorado in 2015 as a specialty electrical contractor focused on athletic and entertainment lighting. Word travelled the way it does in this business: a district or a parks department sees a field that came in on schedule and on budget, and calls the crew that did it.
That took us into Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Montana, and onto sites ranging from middle school fields and municipal pickleball courts to a rodeo arena and an MLB spring training facility. To date we've completed more than $10 million in projects and lit over 18 million square feet of facilities. Expansion into California is underway.
We've stayed deliberately lean. About ten people, led by master electricians, doing the work ourselves rather than brokering it out. That's why we can be direct about schedule, cost, and what a facility actually needs.
Master-electrician led
Our crews are supervised by master electricians and are used to working on public sites, school campuses, and active facilities — with the coordination, access control, and safety expectations that come with them.
Why we specialize
Sports lighting is an engineered product, not a fixture you pick off a shelf. Concentrating on engineered LED systems lets us install faster and more predictably, keeps owners inside a manufacturer warranty on a publicly funded asset, and gives facilities modern LED efficiency and controls instead of the metal halide they're replacing.
