Scope and outcome
Full LED retrofit of George Hall Field at Broomfield Community Park: 36 factory-aimed fixtures on the existing poles, dark-sky light containment, and remote control for the City and County of Broomfield.
The challenge
George Hall Field ran on aging metal halide lights that sent glare and spill into surrounding residential streets, lost output as lamps aged, and needed constant lamp and ballast replacement.
The solution
RMES installed a new LED sports lighting system engineered for the field's layout, reusing the existing poles where structurally sound: 36 fixtures (36.68 kW connected load) with shielded, factory-aimed optics and remote scheduling and monitoring.
The results
Light stays on the field with no visible sky glow or spill past the fence, glare is controlled for players and neighbors, connected wattage is lower than the old system, the lamp-replacement cycle is gone, and the system is backed by a 25-year parts, labor and on-site service warranty.
